About School House
In 2007, Rachel Weeks traveled to Sri Lanka as a Fulbright Scholar to build a socially responsible clothing company. Her dream, which started with a college t-shirt and an order from her alma mater at Duke, has transformed into School House, a fashion-forward, ethically sourced collegiate apparel brand.
School House began its ethical apparel manufacturing in Sri Lanka in 2009, and helped support a living-wage factories while building a legacy of social responsibility maintained at facilities today. While cultivating her company’s ethical production model, Weeks saw an opportunity to bring her fashion story home, and moved production to her home state of North Carolina in Spring of 2011.
“Made in America” is a first step toward the company's vision of elevating ethical production and reviving U.S. apparel manufacturing on the East coast. School House strives to design fashion-forward college clothing and accessories that are socially responsible and crafted with care and quality.
